PEOPLE are being encouraged to gain new skills through a range of new courses.
Staffordshire Community Learning Service has launched its new term of courses – most of which are fully-funded and free – for 2025.
Numeracy and confidence with numbers are among the areas focused on, with the Multiply programme offering practical maths courses tailored to help residents manage everyday tasks like budgeting, bills and homework support.
Cllr Philip White, Staffordshire County Council’s deputy leader and cabinet member for economy and skills, said:
“These courses are more than just a chance to learn. They’re an opportunity to transform lives, families, and communities.
“Whether you’re returning to learning, supporting your family, or improving your skills for work, there’s a course tailored just for you.
“Lifelong learning is an investment in a brighter future for all of Staffordshire and I would urge people to have a look at what’s on offer.”
Other courses include IT basics, wellbeing and nature and family learning.
Sessions are delivered in community venues across the county, including libraries, community centres and outdoor spaces, as well as online for at-home learning.
People can enrol via the community learning webpage or by emailing communitylearning@staffordshire.gov.uk.
