A BURNTWOOD supermarket worker has been recognised for helping shoppers in store.
Dave Webster was nominated by customers after Aldi asked people to nominate staff who had gone above and beyond for them.
He was praised by shoppers for always going out of his way to help, from locating products they can’t find to fetching items that they’ve forgotten to pick up at the till.
Dave said:
“I’m so grateful to all those that nominated me. I always try to give customers the best experience in store, so it’s been amazing to hear how appreciated that is.
“I work alongside such a brilliant team of colleagues which makes it even easier to give shoppers that extra helping hand.
“I’m looking forward to seeing what 2025 brings for the supermarket and to using my amazing spa break voucher.”
Richard Thornton, communications director at Aldi, said:
“We saw such an incredible response to our initiative, with shoppers across the UK sharing stories of their great in-store experiences thanks to our amazing colleagues.
“Each one of our colleagues goes above and beyond in their day-to-day work, so it’s fair to say that our people are our biggest and most brilliant asset at Aldi.”
