LICHFIELD Ladies’ Greens conceded a 77th minute try to lose 20-19 in a hard-fought encounter at Bridgnorth.
In their first game since mid-November, the visitors pushed the unbeaten league leaders all the way.
The hosts took a 7-0 lead on 25 minutes, which was reduced to two points with a try from Lily O’Brien just before the break, but Bridgnorth kicked a penalty right on half time.
Lichfield took the lead on 48 minutes with a try from Zoe Evans, converted by Eleanor Udall.
In such a tight affair, Bridgnorth moved back in front with another penalty to make it 13-12.
New recruit Kat Turner marked her debut with a converted try seven minutes from the end, but Bridgnorth found a way to win the game with just three minutes left with a converted try.
