Good Heavens! Another human rights lawyer in politics! That’s all we need! They’ve done enough damage all ready.
Which particular human right are you unhappy about? If your human rights were being undermined would you like alawyer to defend them?
Read ‘the secret barrister’ to clear up any ignorance about the essential role of the legal profession in a decent society. Like drs, we don’t like the kind of things they are dealing with, but we are glad they are there for us when you need them. (don’t say: yeah, if only you could get an appointment :))
So the people in the comments don’t think humans should have rights? They can’t elaborate a more nuance argument than general terms that they’ve generally done damage without being specific. I fear the majority of people who actually turn up to vote aren’t equipped mentally to make informed decisions or think critically.
Which human rights have gone too far? Right to avoid enslavement? Violence? Fair trial? Avoid discrimination by gender, ethnicity, disability, age? Do tell, or are you just parroting Reform/Tory rhetoric?
