PLANS to convert a property in Haunton into a home for children have been rejected.

The five-bedroom Chapel House on Main Road had been earmarked for a change of use.

But planning chiefs at Lichfield District Council refused permission for the switch.

A decision notice said concerns over the loss of a boundary wall as part of the scheme along with the loss of mature trees as part of the scheme meant it could not go ahead.

It added that the applicant had “failed to provide sufficient information” on the potential noise impact on neighbouring properties.

Full details can be seen on Lichfield District Council’s planning website.

God forbid that they choose children over trees and the loss of a boundary wall and that the noise of children playing will disturb the neighbours. Some people know how to get priorities right.
