A QUIZ night in Whittington has helped raise almost £1,800 towards a church refurbishment project.
The event saw 17 teams use their brainpower to support the work at St Giles Church.
The money raised means that £30,000 has been collected towards the refurbishment in just nine months.
Efforts will continue with a fundraising Flicks in the Sticks showcase at 7.30pm on 7th February featuring Anthony Hopkins in One Life. It will be staged at St Giles Church, with donations towards the fund.
Two weeks later and Go Ukulele Crazy will be back by popular demand for a concert – tickets are £10 and available from Jane Booker on 07802 212123 or by emailing jbooker@parkbarn.co.uk.
