LICHFIELD’S second XV picked up 22-5 victory on their travels as they overcame Pinley.
On a wet and muddy pitch, the visitors grew as the game progressed thanks to a combination of youngsters and older heads.
The Myrtle Greens took the lead in an even first period with a try from Cam Shields, but the home side soon brought it back level before half-time.
The turnaround bore more fruit for the Lichfield squad in the second 40 minutes as three more tries were accrued to earn the team a try bonus point victory.
Fraser Eadie scored from close range before Harrison Stratford added the third. Finally, Adem Akroum earned the squad a fifth point with another forwards’ effort, to which Mike Turner added the extras.
