DRIVERS are being warned of delays when a road closure is put in place as part of a new development in Lichfield.
Cricket Lane will shut from 22nd April to 30th May to allow for utility works to take place.
The development will eventually see more than 500 new homes built along with industrial and employment units.
A diversion route will be in place along the A51 and A5206.
“industrial and employment units”
aka more logistics parcel shuffling operations, the same scourge that’s blighted the whole countryside along the A38 from Fradley to Burton and beyond.
If you don’t recognise the road from the photo that will be because all of that historical, ecologically diverse hedgerow was destroyed by the developers already
@mark Jones…The “industrial and employment units” were earmarked for some 2000 quality and technical jobs during the planning stage. This would bring extra income to the area and to the benefit of the city coffers. This is all very exciting and I am sure the council will be at pains to ensure it is complied with. In fact I would think they will be held to task if the outcome is otherwise.
Philip, or the developers will ask for amendments and alterations to the existing plans.
