A DOZEN runners from Whittington travelled across the Channel to take part in the Paris Marathon.
A former parish council chair along with current and former councillors were among the athletes representing the village and raising funds for several charities, including St Giles Hospice and Shelter.
The group were among almost 57,000 people to complete the course in the French capital.
