A LICHFIELD school has created Santa’s Grotto to help raise funds for a new outdoor project.

The PTA at Scotch Orchard Primary School is hoping to create a new outdoor performance space to create new opportunities for pupils to learn about drama and performing arts.

To boost the plans, the outdoor classroom space was transformed into the grotto for a fundraising event which saw children able to pay a visit to Santa.

Assistant headteacher Alfie Eke said:

“We are incredibly fortunate to have such wonderful facilities, including our forest school – it was amazing to see it come alive as Santa’s Grotto.

“We are so proud to work in a school at the heart of its community.”

Head of school James Chapman said:

“The PTA plays a vital role in our continued journey of opening the doors to our community.

“Over the past year our collaboration has strengthened and we are hopeful that together we can raise enough funds to invest in a large outdoor theatre space.”

A fantastic little school, Lord
Knows why it’s undersubscribed? Excellent teaching staff and top notch leadership. My children get the best of the best.
