HISTORIAN Lesley Smith is bringing the wife of William Shakespeare to life at a show in Lichfield.
An Evening with Mistress Shakespeare will weave her way through the world of Anne Hathaway at The Tudor of Lichfield on Bore Street on 12th February.
A spokesperson said:
“Anne Hathaway, wife of William Shakespeare, is a fascinating character as so little is known about her – but there are intriguing nuggets of fact to explore.
“Lesley cleverly weaves her way through the facts filled in with wonderfully colourful imagery of what life was like for the middling classes at this time.”
Doors open for a welcome drink at 6.15pm before the performance at 7pm. A buffet supper will also take place at 8pm.
The show is suitable for over 18s only. Tickets can be booked online.
