Christian Fields will play host to the moth-trapping session on April 14 from 8.30pm until late.

With nearly 2,500 species of the insect in Britain, Lichfield District Council is hoping wildlife enthusiasts will want to find out more.

Biodiversity officer Chris Walsh will be leading the event. He said:

> “Come and join us for a stroll over Christian Fields as the sun goes down, when we will set moth-friendly light traps so that everyone can experience the beauty and diversity of our local moths up close. Remember to wear warm clothing and suitable footwear, and bring a torch.”

The event will set off from Christian Fields’ top car park and costs £2.50, which includes tea and coffee. To book a place on the tour, please call Lichfield District Council’s countryside team on 01543 308183 or email [denice.deverall@lichfielddc.gov.uk](mailto:denice.deverall@lichfielddc.gov.uk).
