Different Animal Theatre’s Brief Encounter

The Different Animal Theatre group will bring its adaptation of the 1945 hit to the city theatre for five nights from September 29.

A spokesperson said: “Adapted for the stage by Emma Rice, the play tells the story of Laura and Alec – a doctor and a housewife who meet by chance in a railway café and fall desperately in love, knowing full well that true happiness will always be ever-so-slightly out of reach.

“The cast will play multiple characters, as well as performing some classic Noël Coward songs.”
