# Appeal for Proms in the Park sponsors

Plans are being drawn up for this year’s Proms in the Park event and an appeal for sponsors has been [issued by Lichfield District Council](http://www.lichfielddc.gov.uk/proms?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk).

The free event, which takes place in Beacon Park, is funded by grants and local businesses.

Even in these tough financial times it would be a shame to see an event such as this – which attracts up to 10,000 people – disappear because of a lack of funding.
