POLICE are appealing for information after reports of a van driver acting suspiciously in Lichfield.

Officers say the incident happened at around 4.35pm on 17th January and involved a small white van, possibly a Volkswagen or Peugeot model.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said:

> “The van followed a car very closely for two miles from Trent Valley Island to Meadowbrook Road.

> “The car driver pulled over on the Meadowbrook Road to try and lose the van, but it then stopped very closely behind them leaving the driver feeling very intimidated.

> “When they then drove off the van began following them again before eventually disappearing out of view.”

Witnesses can contact police on 101, quoting incident 539 of 17th January.
