The greyhound found in Lichfield on April 19

Wardens are trying to trace the owners of a dog found in Lichfield.

The male cross-breed was picked up on Tuesday morning (April 19) and is a sand and black in colour.

Anyone with information about the owners is asked to call Lichfield District Council on 01543 308725.

A number of dogs are not claimed by their owners each year in Lichfield. The council displays the details of all the dogs that are found in the area on their [website](http://www.lichfielddc.gov.uk/site/custom%5Fscripts/lostdogs.php?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk).

The council takes all of the lost dogs to kennels in Coven where they wait for their owners to claim them.
