An Armitage youngster is aiming to be the next John Motson after reaching the final of a football commentary competition.

Eleven-year-old Andrew Bradley reached the final five of the competition after sending in his voiceover on a goal to Aston Villa’s website.

And now the Hayes Meadow Primary School youngster has been to Villa Park to commentate on a reserve game between Aston Villa and Birmingham City.

Andrew said:

> “I was delighted to be picked out in the top five and the experience of commentating at Villa Park was unbelievable.”

The commentary from the five finalists are now online at [www.visitbirmingham.com](http://www.visitbirmingham.com/?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk) and people can vote for their favourite until noon on April 9.

The youngster added:

> “I just hope I get as many votes as possible!”
