# Australian defender makes Chasetown switch

CHASETOWN have completed the signing of Australian defender Leo Latter.

The youngster left his homeland in 2023 to pursue a football career – and soon landed a scholarship with Football League club Port Vale.

He has since gone on to turn out for Sandbach United, Harrogate Town before moving CPD Y Rhyl 1879 and Prestatyn Town in Wales.

Chasetown boss Carl Dickinson said:

> "Leo is a young defender with a lot of potential and a real desire to improve.

> "He's shown great commitment by moving halfway around the world to pursue his football ambitions – and that's the kind of character we want at this football club.
