Barton United’s promotion bid received a boost as they won 2-1 at struggling Rugeley Rangers.

Goals from Nathan Hunt and Lloyd Dune’t cancelled out a David Edwards strike.

The result leaves Barton in fifth place in the Midland Combination Division Two, five points behind fourth placed Sutton United and ten adrift of a trio of teams on equal points at the top.
