ADAM Braddock's purple patch with the bat continued as he helped Lichfield to a 110-run victory home against West Bromwich Dartmouth 2nds.

He was one of two centurions for the city men alongside Ihsaan Nadeem as they climbed to fourth in the South Staffordshire County League Division One.

After being sent in to bat first in warm conditions, Sarvesh Kotian was trapped lbw by Usmam Bari after scoring just six runs.

But West Bromwich Dartmouth would have to wait some time for their next wicket though as Braddock smashed 166 off 136 balls before eventually being dismissed by Bari to leave the scoreboard on 266-2.

Nadeem was also in electric form as he made 100 before Bari trapped him lbw.

Lichfield's tail added crucial runs too as the innings eventually came to a close on 329-5, despite the best efforts of Bari as he finished with 5-90.

It was always going to be a tall order to chase down the target – and the task got even tougher as the visitors found themselves reduced to 73-6.

They offered some resistance later in the innings as Ehmar Ejaz made 29 and Aashrith Kirshnakumar's 21 provided some positives, but Lichfield eventually bowled them out for 219.

Thomas Clarke was the pick of the home attack, finishing with figures of 5-64, while Rory Prentice collected 3-49.
