# Bird expert to lead Lichfield dawn chorus walk

Bird expert Bob Russon will be leading an early morning walk to celebrate [International Dawn Chorus Day](http://www.idcd.info/?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk).

The walk will set off from Bunkers Hill car park in Beacon Park on May 1 at 4am.

Chris Walsh, biodiversity officer for Lichfield District Council, said:

> “This is a great chance to watch the sun come up, while listening to beautiful birdsong and doing a spot of bird watching. If you do join us, please remember to wear warm clothes and to bring a pair of binoculars, to make sure you see plenty of birds.”
