Burntwood Town FC continued to show signs of improvement despite a narrow defeat against Northfield Town.

Mike Gentles’ men gave their high-flying visitors a scare before Northfield finally edged it 3-2.

The result leaves Burntwood still one place of the foot of the table in the Midland Combination Division Two, but will give them hope ahead of their next outing against FC Stratford on Saturday (November 30).
