The undisputed best big band in Britain are heading for Lichfield.

The Syd Lawrence Orchestra’s popularity continues to go from strength to strength after being voted the Best Big Band in the Land for the 11th consecutive year/

Leader Chris Dean packs a real punch with this dazzling new show The Best of the Big Bands featuring the music of Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Tommy Dorsey, Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman, Billy May, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald.

The release of their latest album, Strictly Big Band has been enthusiastically received by Malcolm Laycock on BBC Radio 2 and the great Neal Hefti.
