New Dawn

A Burntwood band has joined acts from across Europe in the shortlist for a competition to find the best unsigned group.

Melodic metal outfit [New Dawn](http://www.myspace.com/newdawnsounds?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk) are among 35 finalists for the i-Mego TopTrakz Challenge.

The band have already seen off hundreds of other entries from a variety of musical genres in pursuit of the top prize, and a spokesperson for the band admitted their unique offering would be key to their success.

He said:

> “We want to show the UK metal scene something they have not seen or heard before.”

Judging will end on October 29 with the winning group earning a professional studio day
