A Barton-under-Needwood housing scheme developed by a Burntwood building firm has won a national award.

Lakeside Apartments

The Lakeside Apartments at Barton Marina, completed by Cameron Homes earlier this year, triumphed in the UK Property Awards’ best apartment scheme category.

The development features 54 two-bedroom apartments and penthouses.

Representatives of family-owned Cameron Homes, which is this year marking its 25th anniversary, will attend an awards ceremony in London this autumn to receive their accolade.

Chief operations officer Paul Morrisey said: “We are delighted to be voted as the best apartment scheme in this competition, which attracted entries from some of the largest house builders in the country.

“A new community has been created at Barton Marina and we are delighted it has been recognised in this highly-competitive awards scheme.”
