A Burntwood business has confirmed the recruitment of a new production manager to help bring more processes in-house.

SMART Balustrades, which makes bespoke glass and stainless steel balustrades and balconies, has appointed Tom Dopierala to the post.

The company said his recruitment would continue efforts to bring the manufacturing processes in-house rather than outsourcing them.

The COVID-19 pandemic has seen the business introduce social distancing measures to allow it to continue with production, with other staff working remotely where possible.

David Hough, managing director of SMART Balustrades, said:

Lichfield-based Tom said he was delighted to join the company.
