Burntwood’s Play in the Parks scheme has been hailed a success.

Heather Tranter and young visitors to a Play in the Parks event receive the funding cheque from Crime Commissioner Matthew Ellis

Hundreds of families attended the free sessions across the town last month.

Organised by Burntwood Town Council, Play in the Parks also saw a visit from Staffordshire Police and Crime Commissioner Matthew Ellis, who provided funding to help the scheme take place.

A spokesperson for Burntwood Town Council said: “We would like to thank all the partners, sponsors and the public who made everything possible.”
