# Burntwood pool tournament helps ‘bucket list’ teenager raise charity funds

A pool tournament has raised funds to help a Burntwood teenager complete his ‘bucket list’.

Grangemoor WMC host the event each year to support different good causes – and this time they chose to back Stephen Sutton and the cancer charity he supports.

The 18-year-old has [drawn up the list after being diagnosed with an incurable cancer](http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/lifestyle/health/inspiring-burntwood-teenager-draws-up-1288871?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk).

A spokesperson for Grangemoor WMC said: “Stephen wrote to our committee and they were all moved by his story.

“As a result we made the decision to support his cause.”

Members of the club will also be hosting a fancy dress evening tomorrow (April 26), together with a raffle and auction.

As part of his list, Stephen is aiming to raise £50,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT) – a target he is halfway towards achieving.

“TCT have helped me hugely throughout my journey and has helped shape who I am today,” said Stephen.

“They offer hope and a sense of community to young people who have cancer and directly help face the associated pragmatic and emotional issues.”
