The Wych Elm

A Burntwood pub has been named as the best in the UK.

The Wych Elm, on Bridge Cross Road, scooped the accolade after coming out on top of a national survey of drinkers.

Undercover ‘mystery shoppers’ also gave the pub top marks for service and food.

Wych Elm regular Bob Wheeler, 75, [told The Sun](http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/2514392/Britains-top-pub-bar-none.html?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk) that the success was down to landlords Jodie Allison and Mark Hickman.

He said:

> “They keep you coming back, they’re out of this world!”
