Burntwood Town were left glancing nervously over their shoulders after suffering a 5-2 defeat at Perrywood.

The result leaves them sitting in 12th place in the Midland Combination Division Two, ten points and five places above basement boys Rugeley Rangers.

Goals from Reece Gentles and Alastair Holding were cancelled out by a double from Perrywood’s George Martin and strikes by Charlie Burrow, Wesley Joyce and David Budden.

Next Saturday (January 19) Burntwood take on Enville Athletic.
