Burntwood Town failed to build on their first league win of the season as they went out of the Smedley Crooke Memorial Charity Cup to Redditch Borough.

A victory at Rostance Edwards last time out had given a confidence boost, but Craig Malins’ effort was enough to deny Town a second result on the bounce.

But they will get the chance for revenge in the Midland Football League Division Three as they visit Redditch Borough.
