Cajun music is returning to the Lichfield Guildhall.

Elvis Fontenot

Elvis Fontenot will provide the music on November 18 while a dance workshop will guide the audience through jitterbug, waltz and the two-step.

Formed back in the 90s, the band have gone on to play venues all over the UK, Texas and Louisiana, France, Holland and Ireland.

Lichfield Arts artistic director Chris Newcombe said: “It has been many years since we have had cajun dance at the Guildhall, but they have always provided to be very popular evening with both dance fans, and music fans.

“Come and learn some more dance moves, or just listen to the music. Our team of friendly volunteers, and well stocked bar means that a Lichfield Arts evening is an event to be enjoyed by all.”
