A CARE home has rolled back the clock for a 1920s event.

Hammerwich Hall Care Home dialled up the glitz and glamour for the Great Gatsby-inspired day.

Residents were also able to enjoy Peaky Blinders-era fun.

Eileen Higginbotham, 94, said:

> "I had such a wonderful day – I loved dressing up, the food was delicious and everyone looked like they were having so much fun. If we could do it all over again I definitely would."

Fellow resident Ann Dale, 84, said:

> "I really enjoyed spending time with the staff and all the fun we had together. The food was absolutely delicious, and it was such a lovely day."

Following the success of the Gatsby Day, home manager Kerrie Carpenter is already planning more themed events.

She said:

> "We wanted to bring that 1920s glamour to life for our residents, relatives and staff.
>
> "It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved, dressing up, enjoying the music and making special memories together."
