Celebrated French Horner player Ben Goldscheider will be visiting the city for a performance at St Chad’s Church.

The former BBC Young Musician of the Year finalist will be playing on 10th July as part of the Lichfield Festival.

A spokesperson said:

> “He is joined by the superb Goldfield Ensemble as part of our 2022 celebration of the music of Vaughan Williams in this, the 150th anniversary of his birth.

> “Their programme includes the recently discovered and completed Horn Sonata, plus the 1898 Quintet in Dmajor alongside Brahms’ much-loved Clarinet Trio in A minor.”
