# Chance for Lichfield’s young athletes to win training session with Olympic medalist

Salad specialist Florette has launched an exclusive competition for one young Midlands athlete to win a mentoring session with athlete and Olympic silver medalist, Roger Black MBE, this summer.

The competition is to celebrate the brand’s sponsorship of this year’s [Florette Lichfield Dash](https://lichfieldlive.co.uk/events/the-florette-lichfield-dash/) on 30th June 2012, which Roger Black MBE will be officially starting.

Roger Black MBE commented: “Whatever sport you participate in, we can all benefit from some one-to-one advice to help us improve our performance – I certainly had some great mentors during the early stages of my career. The mentoring session that’s up for grabs will allow you to tap into my knowledge and experience in the different areas of sports performance, really helping you to make the most of the next steps in your sporting journey. I’m looking forward to meeting one of the next sporting heroes to emerge from the West Midlands, so if that’s you, make sure you enter now!”

There are also bags packed full of sporting goodies available for the three lucky finalists, who will be invited to a prize giving ceremony and sports star photo shoot.

To be in with a chance of winning the sports mentoring session with Roger, all budding athletes need to do is tell Florette why they would benefit from the mentoring session and what area of sports performance they would like it to focus on.
