# Chance for people in Lichfield to learn more about The Big Red Bike project

People in Lichfield are being invited to find out more about a community project helping older and disabled residents to enjoy cycling.

[The Big Red Bike](http://www.thebigredbike.co.uk/?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk) was set up in 2018 and sees volunteers take elderly and other residents out on the electric-powered trishaw.

An information event will be held in the Lichfield District Council chamber at 1.30pm on 15th July.

A spokesperson said:

> “Please join us to learn and ask questions about The Big Red Bike and how you can book a slot for an elderly relative or disabled person or join our volunteer team.”

The event will also be a chance for businesses to find out how to support the scheme and a chance to go on a short ride to see how the bike works.
