# Chasetown FC chief calls on players to bounce back

Manager Charlie Blakemore has urged his Chasetown FC players to keep their wits about them ahead of their visit to Grantham Town FC.

With the Scholars looking to bounce back from their midweek Cup defeat against Leek Town, the Chasetown boss admits his side won’t be allowed the time to lick their wounds.

And in a league table that has still to take any identifiable shape, Blakemore knows a run of wins – or defeats – could shape his side’s season.

The Chasetown manager said:

> “We know that we have to go to Grantham and fight for every ball and have a real go at it. It’s a cliche, but there really are no easy games in this division.

> “Look at Lincoln who reached the 4th Qualifying Round of the FA Cup, yet they are languishing towards the bottom of this table. It proves that no-one will be rolling over for us this season.”

And despite having the likes of Alex Titchenor, Chris Slater, Vaughn Thomas, Reece Styche and Duncan Horler available for selection once again, the Chasetown boss is keen to ensure the siege mentality continues.

Blakemore explained:

> “The lads who have come in after our horrendous run of injuries have fought and dug-in to make sure we stay in a position to challenge come the end of the season.

> “We need to make sure we continue to show that fighting spirit at Grantham.”
