# Chasetown FC midfielder makes Hednesford Town switch

Hednesford Town have [confirmed the signing](http://www.hednesfordfc.co.uk/component/k2/item/1351-jevons-joins-the-pitmen.html?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk) of Chasetown FC midfielder Ben Jevons.

The former Rushall Olympic man will follow striker Gary Hay in making the move to the Pitmen.

His departure will be a fresh blow to the Scholars who are already facing a period of upheaval following manager Charlie Blakemore’s decision to leave.

New boss Chris Brindley will now have to fill the void left by the goalscoring midfielder who has been a consistent performer for Chasetown during his time at the club.

A statement on Hednesford Town’s website said: “Ben is a hard working and prolific midfield player, regularly getting his name on the scoresheet.

“Ben will be a fine addition to the squad and we would all like to welcome him to Keys Park.”
