SUPPORTERS aged under 16 will only be admitted to future Chasetown games if they are accompanied by an adult, club bosses have confirmed.

The Scholars say the measure has been taken following “recent incidents”.

The club said the new rules would mean adults needed to stay with under 16s for the entirety of any game.

A statement [on Chasetown’s website](https://www.chasetownfc.co.uk/news/chasetown-fc--club-announcement-2960273.html?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk) said:

> “Chasetown operates a zero-tolerance approach to antisocial behaviour, excessive foul or abusive language and any form of misconduct.
>
> “Any individual failing to meet expected standards of behaviour, irrespective of age, may be removed from the ground.
>
> “Throwing any object onto, or encroaching onto the playing surface will result in immediate expulsion from the ground.
>
> “The club wishes to offer its sincere apologies to the vast majority of young supporters who consistently conduct themselves in a positive and respectful manner. However, due to recent incidents, the club has no alternative but to implement these measures.
>
> “Chasetown Football Club is proud of the work undertaken to ensure the club remains inclusive, safe and welcoming for all. These measures are in place to protect those who wish to support Chasetown in a positive and respectful manner and to maintain an enjoyable matchday environment.”
