Chasetown Scholars U14s secured victory in the second qualifying round of the Lichfield Shield.

Hosts Holly Lane made it very difficult for the visitors to play their usual free-flowing football in an evenly-balanced first half

In the second period Chasetown started to dominate more of the play, but still could not break down the home back four

It wasn’t until the final ten minutes that the Scholars managed to make the breakthrough, Carter Lycett netting from a corner kick.

The result was sealed with two late goals from George Armstrong and Will Reaney.
