# Chasetown swoop to sign experienced centre back

CHASETOWN have added a new defensive option to their squad ahead of the new season.

Experienced centre back Joel Kettle has made the switch to The Scholars Ground.

The 6ft 3in defender has previously had spells with the likes of Solihull Moors, Tamworth, Stourbridge and Rushall Olympic.

Manager Carl Dickinson said:

> "Joel adds experience, quality and a real presence to the squad. He is a leader, he knows this level extremely well and he will bring even more competition to the group.

> "We are delighted to get him signed and believe he will be a really valuable addition throughout the season ahead."

Chasetown get their competitive season underway this afternoon (8th August) when they welcome Coton Green to The Scholars Ground. Kick-off is at 3pm.
