# Chasetown to host fundraising football match

A FUNDRAISING football match is being held in Chasetown.

Two teams will battle it out for the Matthew Bainbridge Memorial Cup at The Scholars Ground tomorrow (31st December).

A spokesperson said:

> “We will come together as a club and community to remember Matthew, who left us far too soon.

> “This year has been especially tough for many of us and serves as an important reminder of how vital it is to look out for one another.

> “We want to encourage everyone to come along – players, supporters, friends and family – and show that we are a community that cares.

> “It’s important that we show all our men that they are supported, that they have connections here at our club and beyond, and that asking for help is never a sign of weakness.”
