Children in Burntwood enjoyed an egg-citing Easter as they saw baby chicks hatch and enjoyed other activities.

Staff and youngsters at Busy Bees nursery at St Matthews made cards and decorations, baked hot cross buns and took part in egg hunts.

Nursery manager Caroline Cooper said: “We really try and emphasise what an exciting time of year it is by encouraging colourful, creative activities as the children enjoy it so much.

“It’s events like this and watching baby chicks hatching for the very first time that the children remember for years and years to come.”
