# Christmas changes to Lichfield and Burntwood bin collections

Lichfield and Burntwood residents are being reminded to check that their bin collections won’t be changing during the Christmas period.

Most households in the region are likely to experience some change to their collections, so everyone is being urged to double check their dates on the [Lichfield District Council website](http://www.lichfielddc.gov.uk/christmascollections?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk).

Councillor Louise Flowith, Cabinet Member for Operational Services, said:

> “We have tried to keep disruption to a minimum, but there will be some changes to most collections throughout the holiday period.

> “We’ve promoted the changes in our residents’ magazine, intouch. Our waste and recycling crew is also sticking small stickers on bins across the district to highlight the changes.

> “However, if you are in any doubt, please visit [www.lichfielddc.gov.uk/christmascollections](http://www.lichfielddc.gov.uk/christmascollections?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk) or pick up a leaflet from reception at District Council House on Frog Lane, Burntwood Library, or the Tourist Information Centre in the Lichfield Garrick.”

Residents are reminded that Tuesday collections will not change and Wednesday collections – where people’s blue bins and black bins are collected together – will also stay the same.
