# Cigarettes taken in burglary at Chasetown shop

Cigarettes have been stolen in a Chasetown burglary.

The Co-operative on Highfields Road was targeted by raiders at 11.40pm on Monday (April 8).

The offenders, believed to be men, got away in a silver BMW X5 4×4 vehicle.

DS Kiley Round said: “We are working together with the Midlands Co-Operative and the local community in order to identify those responsible for this burglary.

“We would like to hear from anyone who has any information about this incident as a matter of urgency.

“We are also urging residents with private CCTV in the area to contact us so we can check if anything was captured.”

Anyone with information, or CCTV footage of the area, is asked to contact DS Round at Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 822 of April 8\. Alternatively, they can contact independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
