# Civic dignitaries enjoy gala event in Lichfield

Dignitaries from across the region donned their tuxedos and gowns for a special event in Lichfield.

The black tie gala hosted byLichfield District Council’s Chairman, Cllr [Barry Diggle](http://openlylocal.com/members/2471-Barry-Diggle?ref=lichfieldlive.co.uk), featured the 45 piece City Concert Orchestra, whose principal conductor is the Lichfield Garrick’s artistic and executive director, Adrian Jackson.

Cllr Diggle said:

> “From the welcome reception to the rousing music, we were all thoroughly entertained. I was extremely proud to present the Lichfield Garrick to all the dignitaries, who will be taking back memories of a wonderful evening spent in Lichfield to their home towns.”

The night also saw £400 for the Battle of Britain Memorial Trust.
