# Club launching running session for beginners in Lichfield

A BEGINNERS running course is taking place in Lichfield.

The eight weeks of sessions by Lichfield Running Club will start on 6th January.

Newcomers will be introduced to techniques to help them build up towards a 5km run.

Organiser Keith Lowther said:

> “The sessions will be each Tuesday evening, meeting at 6.20pm for a 6.30pm start at Holy Cross Church Community Room on Chapel Lane. They will last for up to an hour.”

Each session is led by England Athletics-qualified Run Leaders with encouraging club members there to support the runners.
