# Comperes confirmed for Lichfield Proms in Beacon Park

The comperes for the Lichfield Proms have been announced.

The city’s town crier Ken Knowles will join Craig Allen in the role on September 4\. The duo will introduce the classical acts at the outdoor concert.

Ken said:

> “Being on stage at proms is an incredible experience. All I could see in front of me last year was a sea of happy faces, enjoying the evening’s entertainment.”

Local postman Craig is well known for his appearances with Lichfield Operatic Society, Sutton Coldfield Musical Theatre Company, Cre8 Community Theatre and The Lichfield Premier Pantomime Company. Earlier this year he played 26 different characters in Role-Play Productions’ *Ain’t No Angels* at the Lichfield Garrick.

This year’s Lichfield Proms in Beacon Park will feature music from the Lichfield City Concert Band, British Police Symphony Orchestra and Bella Musica!

Organisers are asking visitors to the event not to bring barbeques to the event for safety reasons.
