Michael Fabricant has retained the Lichfield and Burntwood seat for the Conservatives at the General Election.

Michael Fabricant makes his victory speech

The long-serving MP extended his majority after securing 34,018 votes.

Labour’s Chris Worsey came in second with 15,437, while Paul Ray for the Liberal Democrats came third with 2,653 votes. Meanwhile Robert Pass took 1,416 votes for the Greens.

Speaking after his win, Mr Fabricant said the result was a “good result for Lichfield”.
