# Plans for new fire stations in Lichfield and Chase Terrace up for discussion

Lichfield Fire Station

People living in Lichfield and Chase Terrace are being urged to help shape the future of their fire stations.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service is planning to rebuild the stations as part of a £50million project to redevelop ten sites across the county.

The consultation events will take place on November 4 at Chase Terrace Fire Station and at Lichfield Fire Station on November 11.

Assistant Area Commander for Lichfield, Dermot Hogan said:

> “This is fantastic news for Lichfield, Chase Terrace and the surrounding areas. We are still in the early stages of planning these new facilities, but our vision for these new fire stations is to make them community embracing.

> “The consultation events will give the public and members of local organisations the chance to influence the shape of the new stations with regards to their design and how they are used.”

At each of the events, local businesses are invited to attend between 4pm and 6pm, with residents welcome from 6.30pm to 8pm.
